I had to!
I’m happy at how small my thighs got :)
I’ve got a long journey ahead of me, but I’m very happy with my progress.

Just a reminder that all these people we see on our dash with amazing bodies have worked really hard, for a long time. Years of work have gone into their bodies. You may be just starting, days, weeks, months have gone by and you’re not there yet. You’ll get there. It takes time.

This is my FIRST before and after since I started my weightloss journey on 04-03-13! I am 24 years old and I am 5’1! In the last month I have lost 12 pounds and, though I have a long ways to go, its awesome being able to already see a difference, even if its small :)
All I have done is cut back on eating out as much, cooking the foods I love at home using healthier alternatives, and exercising! No matter how big or small your weightloss journey may be, just STARTING is the most important! Due to my size, I couldnt even hardly walk for long without my lower back killing me! I started with just walking 2 laps (0.5 a mile) and each day I added one more lap each day (took some advil to help with the back pain, as well as doing stretches and back strengthening exercises at home). Within a short time (a couple weeks) I was up to walking 3 miles a day! I walked my first 5k at the color run in Austin last weekend! Set small goals, each time you meet it, try for another! I have now completed 3 crossfit classes and although it is REALLY hard, I push myself to get through it because i know that my LIFE depends on it! Believe it and Achieve it! :D

I keep seeing too many people complain about having big thighs and being fat or skinny so I made these!
Encouraging Zangief!

Love this. Notice how when she starts gaining muscle, she starts gaining weight too. Scales don’t measure everything!
amazing progress!
This morning my daughter, who is nearly four, saw the stretch marks on my hips and stomach. She ran her hands over them and asked what they were.
“I got them when I grew up,” I said, “and a few more when I had you.” I grinned down at her. “They’re my stripes. You’ll get stripes too when you grow up.”
She was overjoyed. “Really?”
I think she’s in her room now, pretending to be a tiger.
This is what we need to teach.

Today I sat on my bed and cried for 15 minutes when I realized today, truly, I broke through a weight loss plateau of almost 8 months.
Words can not describe the moment you see your dedication, blood, sweat, and tears recognized. I hope everyone can have that moment.
